A big opportunity to make a difference for Pennsylvania kids is just around the corner.
Next Wednesday, I’m joining hundreds of parents, students and advocates at a rally outside City Hall in Philadelphia to support expanding high-quality school choices for the kids trapped in failing schools across the state. And I’d love for you to come, too.
Here are the details:
What: Rally to expand high-quality choices for Pennsylvania families
When: Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 3:30 p.m.
Where: Outside the northeast corner of Philadelphia City Hall (visitors entrance across from the Marriott Courtyard Hotel)
Lawmakers have the power to give students trapped in failing schools an escape route by allowing them to apply for scholarships to attend high-performing schools. But they won’t do it unless we tell them to.
So I hope you’ll come. You’ll have the chance to connect with other advocates and, most importantly, show our lawmakers that depriving Pennsylvania children of the quality education they deserve is simply unacceptable.
