Holly Grant
Parent Leader & Adjunct Fellow, Empire Center for Public Policy

Holly Grant is a wife and mother of four young children. She works in a children’s library at a private school in Upstate New York. As an Adjunct Fellow at the Empire Center for Public Policy and volunteer for Parent PowerED NY, she advocates for equitable school funding for each student in the great state of New York.

Most recently, Holly committed to improving the American experience for children, families, and immigrants through voluntarism and political action. Stepping up to assist her community during the COVID-19 pandemic, she taught U.S. Citizenship classes for refugees, led nonpublic school families to Albany for National School Choice Week’s legislative day, and administered support to organizations that help mothers provide basic needs for their young children, as well as mental health programs for military veterans. In June 2022, she was cited as Exceptional Women of Central New York Award recipient for Mother of the Year in New York State’s 128th Assembly District.

A certified teacher and professor of mathematics for almost 20 years, she taught elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and professional students in a variety of institutions. Holly earned a PhD in Mathematics at Virginia Tech, a Master of Arts in Teaching at Montclair State University, and Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Smith College.
