Founder and Executive Director, Canary Academy Online, Inc.

Nasiyah Isra-Ul is the founder and Executive Director of Canary Academy Online Inc. (CAO), a Gen-Z-led homeschool organization that empowers homeschooling families through equity-focused charitable initiatives, digital learning, and narrative storytelling. CAO has made national impact by distributing over 1000 homeschool support kits that provide laptops, tablets, and school supplies to families in need. In its first three years, it has supported hundreds of homeschooling families from cities across the US, activating countless communities and collaborating with regional groups to meet local needs on a national scale. With over seven years of experience in education, Nasiyah has been a passionate K12 educator and tenacious advocate for unconventional education since she was a teenager. She is now an incoming graduate student at Regent University, pursuing a degree in organizational leadership with a focus on coaching and mentoring.

Being homeschooled K-12, Nasiyah has a first-hand perspective of how unconventional learning models can create more opportunities for students. Her passion guides her work. As a young trailblazer in non-traditional education, Nasiyah is also the co-director of the National Edupreneur Institute—a new initiative dedicated to supporting and empowering education entrepreneurs. Beyond this, she serves as a fellow, advisor, researcher, coach, and mentor for various organizations (including her own consultancy startup), further showcasing her unwavering commitment to shaping the future of education.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Nasiyah is a budding philanthropist actively engaged in youth-led service-learning projects and community giving. Her individual interests include academic research, policy/advocacy work, volunteering, and mentoring youth as they launch their careers. During her free time, she also enjoys reading, multicultural cooking, and spending quality time with her family, including her parents, brother, and multiple pets.
