Aaron Garth Smith
Director of Education Reform, Reason Foundation

Smith’s work on education policy focuses on expanding K-12 options for families and modernizing school funding systems. His research and writing has appeared in outlets such as the Washington Post, National Review, Fox News, the New York Post, the Hill, Education Week, Education Next, the Washington Examiner, and many others.

Smith graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and earned a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. He previously worked as senior director of analytics for YES Prep Public Charter Schools in Houston.

He resides in Phoenix with his wife and two children.
