In 2019, we launched 50CAN’s National Voices Fellowship to address rising political tensions in America and the need to cultivate new leaders who believe in reaching past partisan differences for the good of children. We never imagined that the program would bring together such a diverse, passionate group of people who want to build the future of American education.
Through the National Voices program, we identify the next generation of compelling advocates and spokespeople and support them as they embrace the risk-taking necessary to create the education systems of the future. Our recently launched fifth cohort is our largest yet—14 strong—representing first-generation college graduates, school administrators, nonprofit executives and skilled communicators.
We’ve been humbled to have the opportunity to work with over 50 impressive education leaders from 20 states across the US as they navigate the waters of media, advocacy, communications and policy.
We need to make it easier for many more people to advocate for change, and we need to connect all of these changemakers together into a nationwide community. Your support will help us do just that.
