Kristi Ramey, a National Board-Certified educator with more than two decades of experience, is passionate about bringing data to life in the classroom. She graduated magna cum laude from the College of William & Mary with a degree in mathematics and a minor in education and went on to earn dual master’s degrees, one in education from George Mason University and another in statistics from North Carolina State University.
Kristi began her teaching career in Fairfax County, Virginia, before moving to Wake County, North Carolina, and currently teaches Calculus and Statistics at Cary Academy. A recipient of the North Carolina Museum of Art’s Teaching Fellowship, she developed innovative Data Art projects that push students beyond traditional graphs to create visual, story-driven representations of data.
She has shared her work and ideas at both domestic and international conferences, always with a focus on sparking curiosity and empowering students to see mathematics and data in new ways.
