


Anahit Baghshetsyan is a research assistant at the Nevada Policy Research Institute, where she drafts policy papers, authors op-eds, and analyzes legislative bills, often with a focus on education reform. Anahit’s commitment to public service extends internationally. She previously served as an assistant to Irish Senator Annie Hoey, gaining firsthand experience in legislative processes and policy-making while helping initiatives to advance social equity and international relations. Her interest in education systems stems from various experiences she had within American high schools and European universities.
A passionate advocate for equitable opportunities for children worldwide, Anahit also co-founded Toon, a social enterprise empowering children in vulnerable communities in Armenia, Nigeria, and Italy. Toon provides a platform for young artists to share their creativity through art, with proceeds from sales supporting local organizations that enhance their well-being and education.
Anahit grew up in Armenia and moved to the United States at the age of 16, where she completed her senior year of high school. After, she sought a B.A. in Quantitative Economics at University of California, Irvine becoming a distinguished undergraduate researcher. She currently resides in Nevada, where she enjoys exploring multicultural cuisines and spending time with her family and friends.
