She most recently served as the Director of External Relations for the Tennessee Charter School Center, where she led the engagement of major donors and developed the corporate donor plan and C4 strategy. Previous to that, Cari worked for the California Charter School Association C4 and ran her own development consulting business.
Cari is excited to join 50CAN to continue her professional passion of ensuring access to quality education for all students. She will work closely with both the National Impact team and State teams to expand upon our development efforts and to elevate our digital fundraising to the next level. I aspire to be like Winston Churchill: Here’s why:
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” -Winston Churchill
Why I love my job:
I have the opportunity to wake up everyday and improve the future for American’s children.
My connection to public schools:
My entire family is connected to public education. My husband is the product of public schools and the first in his family to get a college and/or graduate degree. I want to ensure every child in America has access to a high-quality public education, regardless of their location.
What I’m bad at:
Being told something isn’t possible: there’s always a solution!
This image represents why I work at 50CAN:
My children are the motivation for everything I do in my life. Like any parent, I want what is best for them and I want the same for all children in America.
