Marc Porter Magee Ph.D is the CEO and founder of 50CAN: The 50-State Campaign for Achievement Now. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia.

We’re so thankful at 50CAN to be part of a growing movement of nonprofit organizations working together on a daily basis to bring all kids within reach of their dreams through the equalizing force of a great public education.

You’ve given your time and your heart to this movement. Today, on #GivingTuesday, I hope that you’ll consider making a tax-deductible investment in our work, as well.

It’s been three years since we launched 50CAN in Rhode Island, our nation’s smallest state. Now the organization has grown to include seven state campaigns that have successfully secured 28 education policies that expand access to pre-K, promote excellent teaching, and provide families with high-quality school choices.

Our campaigns also have produced engaging research on both the challenges in our schools and the policies that can make a real difference in our communities.

These include MinnCAN’s Native American Student Achievement report, CarolinaCAN’s Prove What’s Possible documentaries, our annual State of Public Education reports and our School & District Report Cards, which assign A-F grades to every single public school in each state based on how well those schools are educating our kids.

Tens of thousands of people have used our report cards in 2013 alone.

We’re proud to work alongside you in this effort. And we’re thankful for every investment—big and small—that has made our work possible.

Today, in the spirit of #GivingTuesday, I hope you’ll make an investment of your own in 50CAN.

Thanks for standing with us again and again.
